I personally LOOOVE it!

All the warming flavors of the spices like cinnamon, ginger and clove combined with the sweetness of the pumpkin make me want to curl up with an amazing book and just treat myself. It is like self-care in a cup.

The problem is that, normally, all the treats out there are full of sugar which as we know is not the best thing for us. And they tend to also have artificial flavors and colors.

All these are a bad combination for our bodies and may cause inflammation and gut issues. What happens is that a diet that's high in processed food and added sugar can eliminate the beneficial bacteria in the human gut. The resulting imbalance can cause increased cravings for sugar, which further damage the gut.

In addition, fiber also helps us to feel fuller longer. This can decrease overeating and help achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

COCONUT

Rich in fiber and MCTs (Medium Chain Triglycerides), coconut may offer a number of benefits, including improved heart health, weight loss, and digestion. Yet, it's high in calories and saturated fat, so you should eat it in moderation. Overall, unsweetened coconut meat makes a great addition to a balanced diet.

Your body metabolizes MCTs differently than other types of fats, absorbing them directly from your small intestine and rapidly using them for energy.

This Pumpkin Spiced Latte NRgy elixir is a delicious all-natural and good-for-you beverage with all the amazing flavors of this warming treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp Organic Pumpkin Puree
  • 1 tsp Pumpkin Spice
  • 2 tsp Organic Coconut Oil
  • 1 tsp Monkfruit Sugar (or to your liking)
  • 2 oz (1/4 cup) strong coffee or 2 espresso shots
  • 1 Cup alternative milk warmed up (I used Oat Milk - and if you want it really frothy the Barista editions work really well)
  • 1 scoop (10g) Collagen peptides

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients together (make sure to hold the lid tight as it is hot and the steam may push it out). 
  2. Serve and enjoy!
